I’m an illustrator and lettering artist in Chicago, that specializes in custom illustrations and artwork that will make you and your customers smile.
I studied fine art and creative writing, and this love of words and images made publishing a perfect fit, so I’ve spent over 14 years combining the written word with illustrations in books, articles, and pages. When I started lettering in 2014, I realized that drawing words and text for lettering pieces was the perfect way to combine my two passions! I love combining illustration and graphic design on client projects to help give innovative fun solutions that break out of the regular corporate doldrums. Let’s smile and brighten someone’s day instead, yeah?
Current and past clients include: Chez Benoit French Bistro, Law Offices of Scott Shapiro, Aulys Editorial, CC Fliou Apothecary, Jump Trading, and other small businesses and individuals.
I’m a designy-illustrator and lettering artist. After working at several design firms in Chicago, I decided 20 years ago to start my own practice.
My client list has included Lyric Opera of Chicago, NIPSCO, Towle Theater, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Abbott Laboratories, Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Underwriters Laboratories Inc., and Wild Dolphin Foundation, Hawaii.
My work has been recognized by Communication Arts, Uppercase Magazine, Graphic Design USA, Logolounge and more.
I currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for South Shore Arts and am proud to have been a member of their board for over 15 years. I’m also the Professional Programs Director for Society of Typographic Arts. I graduated from Ball State University with a BFA.
I am an illustrator and a cat enthusiast born and raised in Boise, ID. Not only do I love cats, and have two of them, I also love squirrels and other furry animals and they almost always find their way into my illustrations. I’ve created artwork for a wide variety of projects--from album covers to cartoons, patterns for children’s rain boots and backpacks. My medium of choice is working completely digital in Photoshop on my Surface Pro. I am heavily inspired by all of the Nickelodeon I consumed as a 90s kid and illustration styles from the 1950s and 1960s. My art has been described as a mix of soft feelings and humor which explains a lot since I laugh while I work and cry when I watch baby animal videos. When I’m not drawing you can find me building fancy homes in Minecraft or pretending to be a pirate with my twin brother in the game, Sea of Thieves.
Clients: Lone Cone, Ravishly, Idaho Humane Society, Boise Bicycle Project, Story Story Night, Bicycle Times Magazine, and many more.
