Alexis is an artist and illustrator raised on the Pacific Northwest coast and now based out of the SF Bay Area. She earned her BA in Painting from Portland State University and her MFA in Painting from San Francisco Art Institute. She loves gouache, ink, and making pixels look like gouache and ink.
Esther is an illustrator specializing in food and travel, hand-lettering, & surface design. Her illustrations are an extension of her perpetual curiosity and radiate whimsy, dreaminess, and fluidity. Her work has been used for print ads, editorials, books, stationery products, & textiles.
Esther also has a passion for teaching. Helping others find and express the creativity that resides inside of them is at the core of what brings her joy. Most recently she has been teaching budding artists and designers at Cornish College of the Arts and IGIMO Art Station in Seattle.
Judith is a designy illustrator and lettering artist. After working at several design firms in Chicago, she decided 19 years ago to start her own practice.
Her client list has included Lyric Opera of Chicago, NIPSCO, Towle Theater, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Abbott Laboratories, Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Underwriters Laboratories Inc., and Wild Dolphin Foundation, Hawaii.
Judith currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for South Shore Arts and is proud to have been a member of their board for over 12 years. She's also the Professional Programs Director for Society of Typographic Arts. She graduated from Ball State University with a BFA.
Laura is an illustrator and printmaker working out of Austin, TX. She is the owner of Fisk & Fern, a little paper and household goods company featuring her silly and strange characters. All her work is hand drawn using an army of pens and pencils. There’s always a good dose of silliness in her work, and hopes to make people chuckle and smile through her goofy illustrations.
She has worked with Uncommongoods, Land’s End, Urban Outfitters, and other retailers.
Her work has been featured on Buzzfeed, Daily Candy, Oh So Beautiful Paper, Edible Indy, Giftware News, and the food in jars blog, among other wonderful places.
Lisa Kurt is an illustrator living and working in the high desert mountains of Reno, NV. She specializes in children's and editorial illustration. Originally from Massachusetts, she received her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Lisa works primarily with acrylics and mixed media; her work integrates maps and other ephemera within her paintings. Through her work, she explores stories that involve people, animals, and creatures in mysterious settings, often incorporating nature and the unexpected. Lisa’s work focuses on themes surrounding childhood, nature, memory, stories, mythologies, allegory, and dreams.
Melissa Washburn is an artist/illustrator/graphic designer based just outside Chicago in Northwest Indiana. She grew up in upstate New York, but has lived in the Midwest since 1996. She creates layered, expressive mixed-media illustrations, often inspired by nature.
Melissa holds a BFA in painting and printmaking from Binghamton University (SUNY) and an MA in Arts Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, and has completed several Illustration classes through the Continuing Education program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a 2012-2013 recipient of an Individual Artist Program grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. She is also a member of the Graphic Artists Guild, worked as Art Director for Group 7even in Valparaiso, IN for two years, and is one of the founders of CSA Valpo, a unique co-op buying program for local art and artists.

Phil is an illustrator/graphic designer based in Seattle, Washington — where his creativity is fueled by the Pacific Northwest’s abundance of great tastes, sights, and sounds.
He studied graphic design and photography at the University of Georgia. After several years teaching digital illustration in Atlanta, he relocated to Seattle to focus on art and design full-time. Phil helps individuals and organizations solve marketing and communication challenges with creative visual solutions. His specialties include editorial illustration, infographics, and maps.
Sarah is a freelance illustrator based in Philadelphia. Born and raised near Chicago, she received her BFA in Painting and Art History from the University of Illinois. After many years designing for the advertising and non-profit worlds, she turned to illustration where her love for drawing and design converge.
Sarah's work balances a love of handmade and digital processes for a fresh, artful approach. She's inspired by the stories behind everyday experiences, with a focus on food, exploration and good spirits.
